What it does

Ceramic coating

A Ferrari being polished before coating
  1. 01

    Depth and gloss

The paint is corrected first, then sealed. What you see afterward is the paint at its best, locked in.

  2. 02

    Washing gets easy

Water and dirt let go of a coated surface. A wash takes less time and less rubbing.

  3. 03

    More time to react

Bird droppings, sap and water spots sit on the coating before they reach the clear coat. Film is still what stops a stone chip.

Two levels

Level 1 or Level 2.

Both start with a Level 1 paint correction, so the coating seals in paint at its best.

01 of 02

Level 1

One layer of ceramic on the paint and body work, applied over a Level 1 paint correction.

Turnaround
1-2 days
  • Level 1 paint correction
  • Single application of ceramic to paint and body work
How we do it

Applied by hand, cured in the bay.

A ceramic coating bonds to the paint and leaves a slick layer that sheds water, dirt and road film.

The crew applies it by hand and lets it cure in the bay. What comes out is a deep, smooth gloss that stays easy to clean.

Offered at Millstone and Ocean Township.

Myths

Three things people get wrong.

Open each one to read what is true.

Myth 01The fact Ceramic coatings are not for vehicles driven daily

Many vehicle owners assume that ceramic coatings are only for high-end luxury or show vehicles that rarely hit the road. In reality, ceramic coatings are an excellent solution for daily-driven vehicles because they help prevent contamination buildup, reducing the need for constant detailing appointments. Whether you have a busy commute, take frequent road trips, or simply want to keep your vehicle looking fresh every day, a ceramic coating makes it easier to maintain that quality finish.

Myth 02The fact A vehicle must be brand new to have a ceramic coating applied

While applying a ceramic coating to a brand-new vehicle is a great way to enhance its finish from the start, any well-maintained vehicle can benefit from a ceramic coating. At Buff & Beyond, we take the necessary steps to prep every vehicle before applying a ceramic coating. This includes a thorough decontamination process and, if needed, a paint correction service to remove minor imperfections, swirl marks, and defects. Our process ensures that even older vehicles achieve the same incredible candy apple gloss and smooth finish as a brand-new model.

Myth 03The fact Ceramic coatings protect paint from scratches

A common misconception is that ceramic coatings provide scratch resistance similar to paint protection film, but this is not the case. While ceramic coatings add a durable, glossy layer to your vehicle, they do not prevent deep scratches, rock chips, or other forms of physical damage. Their primary purpose is to enhance the aesthetic quality of your vehicle while preventing contamination from adhering to the surface. If you are looking for actual scratch resistance, we recommend pairing your ceramic coating with a dedicated paint protection film for the best of both worlds.

Questions owners ask

Why should I consider ceramic coating for my vehicle?

A ceramic coating is for vehicle owners who want a consistently clean and glossy exterior with minimal maintenance needed. Not only does it enhance the depth and clarity of your vehicle’s paint, but it also creates a hydrophobic surface that repels water, dirt, and other contaminants. Less frequent detailing is the result and you can enjoy a long-lasting shine that maintains its brilliance for years. If you are tired of constantly waxing your vehicle or dealing with stubborn stains and water spots, a ceramic coating from Buff & Beyond is an excellent investment!

What is the main difference between a ceramic coating and car wax?

Ceramic coatings and wax both enhance your vehicle’s exterior, but they differ greatly in durability and performance. Wax is a temporary solution that sits on the surface, offering a short-lived shine and basic water repellency. However, it requires frequent reapplication as it quickly wears off when exposed to the elements over time. In contrast, ceramic coatings form a strong bond with your vehicle’s surface, creating a highly durable, long-lasting protective layer that outperforms wax in every way.

How long should I wait to wash my vehicle after it has been coated?

After a ceramic coating is applied, it is crucial to allow it to fully cure before exposing your vehicle to water or detailing products. We recommend waiting at least 7 days before washing your vehicle to ensure the coating has completely bonded with the surfaces. Once the curing period is over, regular washing becomes significantly easier, as dirt and grime will have a harder time sticking to the surface. For best results, we recommend using safe detailing solutions, a two-bucket wash method, and microfiber cloths to maintain the integrity of the coating over time. Our team at Buff & Beyond is happy to provide you with guidance after application.
